Helping Around the House

Olivia helped unload groceries and put the dishes away tonight...or rather she unloaded the cabinets for us.

Olivia's First Halloween

Olivia was a ladybug for Halloween this week. She passed out candy rather than going trick or treating. She had a good time and wasn't scared of anyone. Her cousin Morgan was a Care Bear.

Carving Pumpkins with Daddy

Jason and Olivia carved a pumpkin, just her size, the night before Halloween. She was more interested in putting the top in her mouth and trying to eat the seeds. She also really liked the paper it was sitting on. After carving the pumpkin Jason put it in her room with a candle inside it, thinking that she might like that in the dark, but a few minutes later we started to smell something burning and we went into her room and the top of the pumpkin had a black spot on it. Thanks goodness we didn't let it go any longer!!!

Aunt Heather's Visit

Aunt Heather was here a week ago. She watched Olivia a few days and they had a great time. They took walks to the park to swing, watched TV, napped together, and played all day. Aunt Heather was able to keep up with her. Although, at the end of her trip Olivia got a high fever and we had our first visit to the ER. The last time Heather was here we all ended up at the hospital too...but that time it was for the arrival of Olivia. Everything ended up being okay though and Olivia is getting better.

Getting Ready for Winter

This is the first hat we bought Olivia for winter. She didn't like it at first, but she is getting use to it. We haven't tried the mittens yet. I'm sure that will be a battle too!

Weekend Trip to Jackson, MO

This past weekend we made a quick overnight trip to Jackson to see family. We stayed at the campground in Cape. We concrete camped, but had a good time. We drove down on Saturday and ate lunch at the park in Jackson and spent the afternoon there. On Saturday night we did a little shopping and made s'mores by the campfire, it was a great night for that. On Sunday, we spent time with family and had lunch at McAlister's before heading back to Evansville. As you can tell Olivia already likes McAlister's sweet tea. Maybe that is why she didn't sleep at all on the way home :)

9 Month Check-Up

On Tuesday, September 30 Olivia had her 9 month check-up with Dr. Blanke. There weren't any shots this time, thank goodness. She is doing very well. She weighed 19lbs. 6 oz. and was 28 inches long. Our little girl is growing like a weed.

Apple Picking

We went to the orchard on September 28 and picked apples Olivia was even able to pick apples that were just her size. She tried to eat them, but that didn't work out too with only two bottom teeth. After picking apples we went to the pumpkin patch and took a few pictures and then we headed to the store for apple cider slushes. We had a great afternoon.
